Traditional Apple Cinnamon Pie

Introduction

Ingredients

  • 2 pie crusts

  • 6 apples (peeled and sliced)

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

  • 2 tablespoons flour

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. Place one pie crust into a pie dish.

  3. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, and lemon juice.

  4. Mix well until apples are evenly coated.

  5. Pour the apple filling into the crust.

  6. Add small pieces of butter on top.

  7. Cover with the second pie crust and seal the edges.

  8. Make small cuts on top to allow steam to escape.

  9. Bake for 45–50 minutes until the crust turns golden brown.
